Case Study: My Experience With Tips

A List of Stuff You Need In Order To Survive Outdoors

For individuals who find it a hobby to go out camping, hiking, or trekking in far away and isolated places where the traditional conveniences of living aren’t present, it is always a necessity to bring with them some survival gear. So before you go out there, you must know what your survival kit must contain.

1 – Knife

The decision to go camping or hiking without bringing a knife with you as part of your outdoor survival gear is probably the stupidest one you’re going to make. You should understand that a knife isn’t just for use in the kitchen because it also is an essential part of your survival gear. The reason why you can’t go out there without it is because it can do so many things that other outdoor survival gear and tools cannot. This includes cutting rope, opening cans, building a shelter, preparing food, and cutting cloth and bandages.

2 – Cordage

There’s no denying that rope is an essential part of any type of DIY survival gear. As a matter of fact, it’s almost impossible to survive out there in the wilderness if you don’t have a rope with you. The rope plays a very important role in a survival situation as it is used for so many different purposes, including that of building emergency shelters, fixing things, lashing poles, making animal traps, fishing, climbing, and making splints for injuries.

3 – Water Bottle

Quite frankly, this one does not really need some explanation. Anyway, a normal person can survive days even without food, so long as there is water. That’s why if you plan on surviving out there, you must endure bringing with you a water bottle or any other container that can store water for drinking. You need to understand that not all water you get access to outdoors is clean.

4 – Signaling Device

When you’re camping and you suddenly found yourself in a survival situation, one of the first things you need to be focusing on is establishing contact with people. As the days go by without contact, you decrease your chances of being rescued. So as to be sure you have some aid in terms of establishing contact when you’re in a survival situation, always bring with you a signaling equipment. A mirror, whistle, and anything that can produce light will be of great help. Any signaling equipment must be considered as an essential tactical survival gear that you can’t afford to forget bringing.

The fact is there still are so many things you should be bringing with you if you go out camping or hiking and we leave the responsibility of learning the rest to you.
