Alan Pardew is not new to the headlines; he has been in it many times in the past. It is not only Pardew’s brilliant deeds that made the headlines, but even the dreadful and the downright hilarious ones. Over the years, Pardew has been known to always be in the thick of controversy but this time, he really outdid himself. When two players of your team square up in a game, it is something unusual and funny, a football lol, and this is what happened to Lee Bowyer and Kieron Dyer. There is supposedly no such thing as fighting with your own team mate because sports is team work and the normal behavior is players on one team fighting with players on the other team. And this is a common occurrence. It was funny to watch since, at the time, Dyer and Bowyer both belonged to the Toon Army. After the fight, the two players received red cards from being violent. If it wasn’t bad enough, the team lost to Aston Villa at home with a score of 3 – 0.

Newcastle United fans know that it is an unthinkable thing to lose to Sunderland at home. But, what was unthinkable happened with a 3-0 defeat at home. And this one fan was so upset about the loss that he poured out his anger on a poor police horse called Bud. Barry Rogerson, the fan, 45 years old, proceeded to taunt that horse and punched its head. This moronic actions led him to serve a year’s jail sentence. There will be worse years to follow for this humiliation.

There are many poor managers that Newcastle United has employed but none the worse than Joe Kinnear. Kinnear’s career had so many funny moments although during those times, it was really quite terrible. And, the funniest of them all was when he tried to sign his own player. It was during the League Cup game between Swansea and Birmingham that this event occurred. At this time Shane Ferguson was on loan at the Brummies. It was a great game that he play where he dominated the midfield. Kinnear was impressed and announced that he was going to sign the player. The press though it was a joke but they soon realized that he didn’t know that Ferguson is a Newcastle player on loan. What a funny moment!
